Introduction

Shambria is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since July 2023 whose goal is to create a safe space for her clients to thrive and embrace their healing journey. Shambria understands that taking the first step in your therapeutic journey can be overwhelming, therefore creating a safe and comfortable space is her priority. She works with teens and young adults, providing a safe, affirming, non-judgmental space for healing and support. Shambria is the co-founder of Mind Over Matter Wellness and Consulting, where she practices as a somatic-based therapist. Her approach as a humanistic, mindful, and somatic therapist is to create an environment where you feel empowered to tackle life challenges by integrating the body into the therapeutic process. Shambria is an honest therapist who practices empathy, patience, and compassion. Shambria has extensive experience working with clients from various cultural, spiritual, and religious backgrounds. She specializes in individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma that may manifest as people-pleasing tendencies, perfectionism, or poor boundaries. She specializes in Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy. Shambria is a Certified Brainspotting Therapist. Trauma and stress can impact different areas of our brain at the subcortical level. Brainspotting aims to engage these subcortical parts of the brain that also connect with our nervous system network to process emotions that may be stuck within us. Shambria is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based psychotherapy used to alleviate symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, and many other mental health disorders. In her spare time, Shambria enjoys riding horses, traveling, and spending time outdoors. Shambria is currently accepting new clients on a waitlist basis, with next availability starting October 1, 2026.
