Hello, I’m Shanika McCallum-Coppage, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor, and the founder of Believe in Yourself Therapy. I began my work in mental health after seeing how many individuals were navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions without the support they deserved. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to heal at their own pace. I specialize in working with adults, adolescents, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief, relationship challenges, pregnancy-related stress, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and strengths-based, integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness. Through therapy, I help clients build effective coping skills, strengthen emotional awareness, and reconnect with their inner resilience so they can create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
