Introduction

While everyone’s story is unique, it can help to have someone in your corner who truly understands what you’re going through. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, build new skills, and move toward the life you want for yourself and your family. I chose to specialize in educator burnout, motherhood, parenting support, and premarital therapy because these are all areas with deep personal meaning. My approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and practical change. Drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients develop skills for managing emotions, navigating stress, improving communication, and responding effectively to life’s challenges. I also incorporate principles of Reality Therapy, supporting clients in identifying what is within their control, clarifying their needs and values, and making intentional choices that align with the life they want to create. I began my career as a middle school math teacher before transitioning to school counseling and eventually private practice, where I feel I can make the greatest impact through individualized, meaningful work. My lived experiences help me bring humility and understanding to clients as they balance work and family demands, navigate parenting challenges, process family conflict, and strengthen the foundations of their relationships. Because not everyone processes experiences through words alone, I often incorporate creative and expressive interventions to help clients gain insight, explore emotions, and discover new perspectives. These activities are designed to support growth and self-understanding—no artistic ability required. When I’m not in the therapy office, you’ll likely find me spending time outdoors with my family, baking something delicious, folding laundry while binge-watching my favorite shows, or listening to an audiobook during the never-ending carpool routine. Please reach out for a free consultation call so we can determine whether we’re a good fit to help you reach your goals.
