Introduction

Reduced fee spots available (Please, if you need this, ask). Hi, I’m Shannon Mick, NCC, LPC, founder of Finish Stronger Counseling. I provide compassionate virtual therapy to adults across Pennsylvania who are ready to overcome anxiety, trauma, and eating disorders—especially endurance runners and athletes who want to feel strong in both mind and body. As a semi-professional ultramarathoner and assistant running coach myself, I truly understand the unique mental challenges that come with the sport: DNFs, DNSs, injury recovery, training balance, body image, and the relentless drive to push your limits. My holistic, movement-informed approach blends evidence-based therapy with real-world strategies that honor the mind-body connection athletes live every day. Using CBT, DBT, and ACT, I help clients address root causes, build resilience, and develop the mindset tools they need to cross every finish line—on the trail and in life. Whether you’re navigating performance anxiety, rebuilding after a setback, or simply wanting to feel like yourself again, my goal is simple: help you finish stronger. If you’re ready for support through your healing journey, and ready to tackle life-long changes, email me right now to schedule an appointment. If you have questions about how I can help, I welcome emails. You can also learn more on my website (finishstrongercounseling.com), which includes a mental health blog. Let’s promote healing and life-long changes so that you can live abundantly. Private pay: $105 per 35-45 minute session. Like most specialty providers, I do not participate in any insurance plans. Paying out-of-pocket is a great option for people who want maximum privacy, confidentiality, and flexibility. I offer reduced fee spots. I am open to chatting about the fee to see if I can meet you where you’re at. Please, only ask about this option if you really need it because these spots are limited, it may take it away from someone else. Thanks. Reduced fee: $50-90 per 35-45 minute session. I can also provide you with a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I cannot guarantee that you will get reimbursed. Mental wellness coaching is another service that I provide to ultramarathon runners in the U.S.
