Shannon O’Dowd is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who is passionate about helping individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, mood disorders, and emotional challenges across the lifespan. Born and raised in Florida, Shannon earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2024, and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Liberty University. Shannon emphasizes a holistic approach to counseling that recognizes the connection between the mind, body, and soul and how these connections influence the individual throughout the lifespan. Her clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. She also has specialized training and experience working with trauma survivors. At the core of Shannon’s practice is a compassionate and collaborative approach that helps clients feel supported, understood, and empowered in their healing process. Outside of counseling, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, including her horses, and creating mental health journals and wellness resources through her business, Healing Meadows Therapy.
