Shannon Seibel, LPCC, follows a holistic approach to psychotherapy that takes into account the whole person. With healing as a primary goal, she provides person-centered individual therapy for those struggling with trauma responses, anxiety, depression, grief, distorted self-image, and self-harm. Her approach is trauma-informed and focuses on behavioral activation, strengths identification, adaptability, and uses solution-focused goal setting. Shannon believes that in order to heal, the conversation needs to include who you are, what you need to feel supported, learning how to process physical and emotional responses to stress, and working toward personal goals that improve daily functioning. Before working as a counselor, Shannon worked for 17 years in civilian positions with law enforcement in North Central Minnesota and specializes in the mental health treatment and wellness support of public safety personnel, first responders, and frontline workers. Her practice is rooted in a deep appreciation for the public safety and criminal justice communities, and she has a unique understanding of the professional and family stressors, trauma/secondary trauma/vicarious trauma, and moral injuries that can occur throughout a career.
