Hi, I’m Sharhonda Ford, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHC-S), trauma specialist, speaker, and faith-integrated therapist who believes healing is possible—even when life has knocked the wind out of you a few times. I specialize in helping women, couples, and individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, infertility, postpartum struggles, stress, and emotional overwhelm with honesty, compassion, and practical strategies. My approach to therapy is warm, direct, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I believe people deserve a space where they can feel seen without shame, challenged without judgment, and supported without having to “perform” healing. Around here, we identify, acknowledge, and address what’s beneath the surface—not just manage symptoms long enough to survive Monday. With over 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and women in ministry and leadership, I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches with emotional awareness, nervous system education, and practical coping tools. For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-integrated care that honors both mental health and spiritual wellness. I believe prayer and therapy can coexist beautifully. Jesus heals, and sometimes He also sends you to counseling, hydration, boundaries, and sleep. Amen. 😊 I am especially passionate about helping high-functioning women who appear “strong” on the outside but are emotionally exhausted on the inside. Many of my clients are caregivers, wives, professionals, leaders, and mothers who are trying to hold everything together while quietly struggling themselves. Therapy with me is not about perfection. It’s about creating safety, increasing insight, learning healthier patterns, and helping you reconnect with the version of yourself that trauma, stress, grief, or survival tried to silence. You do not have to navigate this season alone.
