I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Supervisor (LMFT-S) and an AAMFT Clinical Fellow with nearly 30 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges using a systems-informed approach. Having grown up in Austin, Texas, and later living in Honolulu, Hawaii, Seattle, Washington, and now Portland, Oregon, I bring a deep appreciation for cultural context and the ways family, relationships, and environment shape emotional well-being. These experiences strongly influence how I understand and support each client’s unique story. I hold a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University and have been licensed for independent practice in Washington State since 2009 and in Texas since 2017. While I work with individuals, my approach is grounded in family systems theory, recognizing that patterns, roles, and relationships often play a central role in distress and healing. My work focuses on trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, gender and sexuality concerns, and weight- and food-related issues. I also collaborate with medical providers and incorporate creative and art-based interventions when helpful, always tailoring therapy to support meaningful, sustainable change within the larger context of a client’s life.
