Hello, I am Shari. Are you looking for someone you can feel safe to address your needs and not feel judged? Are you looking for someone authentic and supportive? Are you having difficulty finding someone who will be honest and direct? I am a therapist that knows what it is like to be on the other side? I am not embarrassed to say I have a therapist and my healing journey is ongoing. I believe finding the right therapist can be challenging, but it should not be a barrier to getting help. Finding a therapist should feel comfortable and natural. I am told I have a way of helping people feel as if they have known me before. My experience in building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients helps them feel safe and heard. I have experience working with victims or perpetrator of domestic violence (mental, physical, financial etc.) and mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss (death of a love one or a loss of job, break up etc.) and personality disorders. Experience providing individual, couple, group, and family therapy, aimed at improving interpersonal relationships. I act as a facilitator, guiding you toward self-awareness. I refrain from giving direct advice or solutions. Instead, I empower you to explore your feelings and thoughts independently and tap into your inner resources. I can provide supportive therapy, coaching, psycho-education and tools to you and/or your family to help you function better and improve your overall well-being. Some of the more common types of psychotherapy include: Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT): This is a structured, goal-oriented type of psychotherapy. Many people for whom spirituality or religion plays a major role in their lives may benefit from this type of counseling. Faith-based therapy can help you lean into your values to make decisions, understand suffering, set priorities, and create purpose and meaning in their lives. Sometimes your values in life can become distorted and you may need to explore those values to see if it applies to your life today.
