Introduction

I am Sharilee “Shari” Benjamin, LCSW, LICSW, offering online therapy for adults in Georgia, Alabama, and Virginia. I specialize in supporting individuals who have learned to carry their stress, trauma, or grief quietly while continuing to show up for others. Many of the people I work with describe feeling overwhelmed on the inside while appearing calm, capable, and composed in their daily lives. Therapy provides a consistent place to understand these responses, explore where they originate, and learn how to navigate emotions and patterns that no longer feel helpful. My approach combines EMDR, CBT, ACT, DBT, somatic strategies, and expressive modalities to support emotional clarity, nervous system regulation, and lasting change. Sessions are paced intentionally and collaboratively, creating space for insight while honoring safety and readiness. Clients often describe the work as grounded, supportive, and practical, with a focus on both understanding themselves and experiencing real shifts in how they feel and respond. If you are looking for therapy that acknowledges the complexity of your experience and offers tools and depth, I welcome the opportunity to connect and learn more about what you need.
