Introduction

Welcome to Healthy Hearts Sound Minds Counseling Services. My name is Shartisha Hayslett, LLMSW, and I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges in healthy and meaningful ways. I specialize in working with children and teens who may struggle with managing big emotions, anxiety, behavioral concerns, emotional regulation, social difficulties, stress, low self-esteem, and challenges at home or school. I understand that when a child is struggling emotionally, it can impact the entire family. My goal is to help children and adolescents better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, improve communication, and build confidence in themselves and their ability to navigate difficult situations. At Healthy Hearts Sound Minds Counseling Services, I provide a supportive, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where children and teens can feel safe expressing themselves while learning practical tools to manage emotions and behaviors more effectively. I also believe parents play an important role in the healing and growth process. In addition to supporting children, I work closely with parents by providing guidance, education, and practical strategies that can strengthen parent-child relationships and support positive changes at home. My approach is collaborative, solution-focused, and centered on helping families create healthier emotional connections, stronger coping skills, and more balanced daily functioning.
