Introduction

Congratulations on taking the first step to seeking assistance. Choosing a therapist is an extremely important part of the journey, so let me introduce myself. I am a graduate of the UTSA. Since graduating, I have been given the opportunities to work with multiple groups in private practice and school district setting: children, adults, couples, and families. Both venues allowed me to work with the individual and families to create treatment plans for all individuals involved. To create the most effective treatment plan, we will work together through play therapy (a style of counseling that provides a safe place to express self through the natural communication of the age group/stage child is in allowing the opportunity to teach coping skills and concepts on that same communication level) and/or talk therapy. Homework will be utilized to maximize your investment in yourself and family. Thank you for considering me to I walk beside you in your journey to becoming the best you that you can be. Recently, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) has been studied and added to the practice as a modality of treatment for a variety of issues which include, but not limited to, anxiety, trauma, depression, etc. ____________________________________________________________________ If a complaint would like to be filed against provider you can call 1-800-821-3205, visit https://bhec.texas.gov/contact-us/ or reach out through mail at Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council 333 Guadalupe St., Ste. 3-900 Austin, Texas 78701.
