Introduction

Welcome! My name is Dr. Shellene Ball. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of specialized clinical experience working with children, teens, and adults. I earned my Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University, completed my clinical internship at the Vanderbilt-Veterans Affairs Internship in Professional Psychology, and pursued my postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Delaware. I have training and experience in a wide variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy. My training in these areas guides my therapeutic approach. In my private practice, I work primarily with adults. I provide therapy services as well as some limited testing/evaluation services. If you choose to work with me, I will strive to help you find ways to grow, truly live your values, and realize your potential. Life is a journey and it is often helpful to have someone who can truly be present and put into perspective where we wish to go in our lives and how we might get there. If you choose to work with me, I commit to creating an atmosphere of compassion and understanding where you can feel safe and supported, and to use my training and skills to help you build a life that is worth living!
