As a dedicated Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Queens College, City University of New York, I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journeys to healing and personal growth. I believe in a Rogerian person-centered approach, fostering self-awareness and empowering clients to reconnect with their purpose. Some other therapeutic techniques I like to apply include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychoeducation, Solution-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Gestalt Therapy. I have developed a keen understanding of the complexities of mental health, particularly within the AAPI community. Coming from a Chinese American background, I specialize in addressing issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and family dynamics. I am committed to helping individuals navigate their unique cultural experiences while also having the privilege of working with clients from a variety of diverse backgrounds. My strengths in empathy and goal orientation enable me to connect deeply with clients, guiding them toward achieving their mental wellness goals. I am a firm believer that we all have the ability to find peace, it is within you. This will be a space to explore that and tap into your full potential.
