Hello, I’m Shimika Daniels Turner, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) with more than 10 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, family conflict, and major life transitions, with a special passion for supporting young adults as they find their footing and voice. My heart for this work began early in life as I watched my grandmother quietly battle mental illness. That experience shaped my compassion, deepened my understanding of emotional pain, and planted the belief that healing, hope, and peace are possible for everyone. I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and human. My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally sensitive, meeting you exactly where you are without judgment. Together, we’ll work to better understand your experiences, build healthier patterns, and create space for healing and growth using approaches tailored to your unique needs, including CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate life alone. My goal is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and cared for. Therapy is not about perfection—it’s about becoming more whole, more grounded, and more connected to the life you deserve. I would be honored to walk alongside you on that journey.
