Hi! I'm Shireen! I work with adults and couples of diverse backgrounds navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, trauma-related concerns, life transitions, and patterns that leave them feeling stuck. Together, we may explore communication, trust, emotional regulation, self-worth, attachment, and other experiences shaping how you relate to yourself and others. I bring 13 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in high-acuity medical settings. That experience shaped how I show up in therapy—calm under pressure, present during difficult moments, and attentive to how stress affects both mind and body. My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I strive to create a space where you can show up authentically, without judgment or pressure. I integrate CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and support growth. With couples of all relationship structures and backgrounds, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman-informed methods to support connection and healthier communication. I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, understood, supported, and gently challenged. My role isn't to tell you who to be or have all the answers, but to walk alongside you as you build self-awareness, emotional balance, and confidence. Therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself, make sense of your experiences, and move forward with greater clarity and intention.
