Hi! I’m Shoshana. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut, and a certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor (PMH-C). I specialize in supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. I work with concerns such as postpartum depression, anxiety, birth trauma, fertility challenges, and the identity shifts that come with becoming a parent. In addition to perinatal mental health, I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, life transitions, relationship challenges, and other stressors. My approach is warm and collaborative, and I strive to create a space where my clients feel supported, understood, and empowered. My clinical training, combined with my experience as a mom of three young children, deeply informs my work. I have done the sleepless nights, the brain fog, the “mom guilt,” and the attempts to function in survival mode for months on end. I understand how parenthood impacts your personal, romantic, and professional relationships as well as sudden shifts in mood, feelings of anger/rage, anxiety, and depression. I hope to be a part of your parenting “village.” While my passion for perinatal mental health is personal, my broader clinical work reflects my commitment to supporting individuals through all seasons of life with the same compassion, insight, and dedication. I have over 10 years of experience in the clinical mental health field, and have worked in a wide range of settings, from methadone clinics to inpatient hospitals. No matter the setting, one thing remains constant- *you* are in control of your own life.
