Introduction

Sierra Sapunar is a CPC-Intern who graduated with her masters degree from Meridian University in Northern California with a concentration in somatic therapy. Sierra is passionate about providing a safe open environment in which to discuss and explore negative thought patterns, painful emotions, and problematic life issues that are hard to resolve on one’s own. Sierra supports people in addressing anxiety, depression, stress, grief/loss, life transitions, relationships issues and transforming difficult and uncomfortable emotions. Sierra is a mindfulness/body-based psychotherapist who guides and supports people in somatic experiencing. This involves connecting to bodily sensations, developing self awareness and healing through a variety of practices. Sierra’s personal experience has deepened her understanding of the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection and the healing of the whole person. She has training in nuerofeedback, postpartum and perinatal concerns, expressive arts, movement therapy, breath work, guided visualization, heart meditation, parts and memory work, and trauma-informed therapy.
