Thank you for visiting. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor offering services in Maryland and California (LPCC). My background is counseling survivors of familial, gendered, and carceral trauma in community mental health settings. I am trans, queer, plural, and neurodivergent; and my work is guided by my own survival in abolitionist queer and disabled community. I work with people of similar identities on issues related to childhood trauma, organized abuse, or current relational concerns. If you are finding your life or relationships disrupted by patterns from your past, this is something we could work on in a therapeutic relationship. Clients come to me in different places of awareness, sometimes with significant awareness of systems or needs, or sometimes not knowing where to start. Questions about somatic symptoms, gender identity, or memory loss are common. As a therapist I approach every person as unique and enjoy the process of getting to know you. In this way we can work together to identify strengths to establish a working foundation for any changes you wish to make. My training is grounded in psychodynamic and humanistic approaches to relational therapy. I implement techniques such as EMDR, somatic processing, and hypnosis to supplement talk therapy. I am trained in EMDR and Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH Level 1). I completed my PhD (2016) and MEd (2011) in Counseling at the University of North Texas. I am currently accepting clients, sliding scale available.
