Introduction

Hi, I’m Dr. Sita Nadathur, a bilingual clinical psychologist. I love helping people navigate life’s challenges and discover their own capacity for healing and growth. I earned my undergraduate degrees in psychology and music performance from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, and completed my doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Hartford. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings with individuals facing many different challenges and concerns. I have a special interest in multicultural care, grief counseling, resiliency building, and supportive care that is both culturally and linguistically meaningful. I am independently licensed in Connecticut and am PsyPact credentialed, which allows me to provide mental health services across more than 40 states. When it comes to therapy, I take a collaborative and process-oriented approach. I believe that every person has the capacity to grow and heal, and my role is to guide and support you along the way. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, trauma-informed care, and process-oriented techniques, to create a space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I also bring cultural and social justice perspectives into my work so that treatment feels relevant and tailored to your unique life context. I value transparency and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship. Together, we check in regularly to make sure the approach fits your needs and feels comfortable. I also believe that who we are as humans naturally shapes the spaces we inhabit, and I bring that belief into how I engage with clients. Outside of work, I love creativity, music, and the arts. When I’m not working or hanging out with my family, you can usually find me traveling, sipping tea, or curled up on my deck with a good book.
