Hi my name is Skip Loehr! I am an Albuquerque-based relationship therapist supporting couples, individuals, and adult family/friend relationships in becoming more secure, authentic, and connected. I offer clients a safe, collaborative space to expand their capacity for meaningful connection with self and others. My therapeutic approach is influenced by my training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Attachment Theory. And most importantly, I am guided by my belief that healing is relational I have experience working with couples and individuals navigating trauma, grief, attachment-injuries, parenting, blended families, ethical non-monogamy, infidelity, un-coupling, sexuality, kink, desire differences, substance recovery, chronic illness, mistrust, co-parenting, gender transition, queerness, communication issues, conflict, & neurodivergence.I believe in therapy as a place where people can reclaim their stories, heal relational wounds, & develop their sense of purpose.
