Transitions are hard and we aren't given any road maps. Whether you're entering a season of grief, navigating a difficult break-up, rocked by sudden job loss, or trying to figure out how to live more authentically, you do not have to do this alone. My approach draws from somatics, mindfulness techniques, and attachment style frameworks while utilizing an integrative psychodynamic and person-centered theoretical orientation. About me: I came to my work as a psychotherapist by first working with the body, as a bodyworker and healer where I found a deep body/mind/spirit connection inherent in us all. Throughout my over a decade long work as a psychotherapist, I have worked with children, teens, adults, and couples, and have facilitated support groups in diverse contexts, including currently working as an adjunct professor in a counseling psychology program, formerly in an Intensive Outpatient Program, and in a rape crisis/trauma center. Each of these avenues have profoundly shaped my understanding about meaning, purpose, and the resiliency that lies in each of us. What I can offer is a holding space that feels gentle and safe. It is from this space where we can together establish attainable goals, identify obstacles, and bring greater understanding and more joy to your journey. You can expect that I will collaborate with you, helping you to identify patterns that are keeping you stuck. I will be encouraging, yet directive, while guiding you toward the changes you yearn for. Please contact me for a free consultation to see if we are a good fit. I very much look forward to meeting you. *Above quote by William Bridges from Transitions
