Introduction

Hi, I’m **Skylar Pitts, CPC**, founder of **Nevada Trauma Therapy**. I specialize in working with adults navigating trauma, complex PTSD, anxiety, relationship difficulties, addiction, and recovery. My approach is compassionate, practical, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy should go beyond simply talking about what happened. Together, we work to understand the patterns that developed as a result of your experiences, build healthier ways of coping and relating, and create meaningful, lasting change. I incorporate evidence-based approaches including **EMDR** and other trauma-focused therapies, tailoring treatment to the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I also have a particular interest in supporting **families and friends of people struggling with addiction**. I offer **CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) groups**, which teach practical, evidence-based strategies for supporting a loved one while also taking care of yourself. CRAFT helps family members learn healthier ways to communicate, set boundaries, reinforce positive change, and encourage their loved one toward treatment and recovery. Whether you’re working through your own trauma or recovery, or trying to figure out how to help someone you love, my goal is to give you practical tools, meaningful support, and a path forward.
