Introduction

I'm Skyler Whitley, a lifelong Oregonian and resident of Portland since 2011. I have a passion for serving my local community and for the values of equity, social justice, and disability rights. My services exist to meet the needs of the neurodiverse community. I specialize in providing mental health services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) including autism, and other forms of neurodiversity. I am here to support you with managing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and other mental health challenges. I currently provide all services via secure Telehealth software. I accept OHP/Medicaid health insurance (CareOregon/HealthShare mental health plan). I am not able to accept other insurance at this time. My approach includes: - A client-centered and strength-based foundation: You are the expert, and you make decisions about your own treatment goals and needs. I am here to support you through the process. - Prioritizing accessibility for you and your team: Sessions may include additional team members, use of assistive technology, or anything else that helps you participate - A combination of evidence-based therapeutic strategies, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), motivational interview (MI), social skills training (SST), and mindfulness. Access to specialized and effective mental health services is crucial for the neurodiverse community. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health and disability service fields, my mission is to fill that service gap. Let's work together to achieve your goals! If you are interested in my services, you can schedule an initial consultation by using the "request appointment" link, or reach out using the "contact" link.
