Hi, I’m Sondra Booth, a Licensed Professional Counselor and graduate of Lindsey Wilson University, where I earned my Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling. With several years of experience working with clients of all ages across a wide range of settings, I bring both clinical depth and genuine flexibility to the work we do together. I am also currently working toward my certification in Ocean Therapy — an extension of my belief that healing doesn’t have to happen within four walls. I help teens and adults navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationships, burnout, and that persistent feeling of being stuck. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. Together, we’ll clarify what matters most to you, build tools you can use right away, and create steady momentum toward the changes you’re ready to make. I started Waves of Serenity because I believe therapy doesn’t look the same for everyone. Some people need consistent weekly support. Others need someone in their corner for the big decisions, the hard seasons, or the quiet moments when life just feels heavier than it should. I wanted to build a practice that could meet all of those needs, one that offers real healing, genuine peace, and a steady presence for whatever you’re navigating, large or small. I believe effective therapy begins with meeting you exactly where you are, with no judgment, no pressure, and no one-size-fits-all approach. I offer flexible ways to connect, whether by video, phone, walk-and-talk, or a session right on the beach where the rhythm of the ocean can help you ground, reset, and reconnect with yourself. In addition to traditional session formats, I offer a monthly plan designed for clients who want guaranteed same-day booking when something comes up, or who simply benefit from occasional check-ins to process, recalibrate, and stay grounded between life’s bigger moments. When we work together, you can expect clear, meaningful goals and real progress tracking along the way. You’ll leave each session with practical strategies to carry into your week, focused on nervous system regulation, values-based action, and self-compassion, so the changes you make actually stick.
