Introduction

You're the one everyone counts on. You're driven, successful, and dependable—but inside, you're exhausted. You overthink every decision, feel guilty when you slow down, and say yes when you mean no. You're always anticipating the next crisis before the last one has even passed. Nobody sees how anxious you really are, because you've mastered the art of hiding it. That's what high-functioning anxiety looks like: calm on the outside, chaos underneath. And if you're also carrying old wounds, from childhood, relationships, or navigating the world as a Black woman, it all quietly adds up in ways that are hard to explain but impossible to ignore. I specialize in helping high-achieving Black women understand the root of their anxiety and process the trauma that's been running the show. Using EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we can reprocess painful experiences so they lose their emotional grip and without you having to relive every difficult memory in detail. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally affirming, and built around you: your pace, your goals, your story. We'll balance real insight with practical tools so you can stop spiraling and start living more intentionally. This is a space where you don't have to explain yourself, minimize your experience, or perform strength. You can just be human. You've been carrying this long enough. I offer virtual therapy throughout New Jersey with flexible scheduling designed for your busy life. I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Reach out to schedule your free 15-minute consultation, and let's talk about what's possible for you.
