Introduction

Sophie Henderson, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over eleven years of experience guiding individuals through life’s challenges and helping them reconnect with their strengths. She believes that everyone deserves a meaningful, connected life, and that with the right support, healing and growth are always possible. Drawing on evidence-based methods—Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered techniques, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)—Sophie especially values EMDR for helping clients heal from painful or traumatic experiences and move forward with peace and confidence. She has worked with those facing depression, anxiety, grief, chemical dependency, and has supported teens and parents through difficult transitions or behavioral concerns. Sophie’s goal is to foster an environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped not just to get through the day, but to truly enjoy it. Joining her in the office is Ozzy, a gentle one-year-old Newfoundland and therapy dog in training, always ready to offer extra comfort and plenty of affection to anyone who needs it.
