I am a therapist intern dedicated to providing intersectional, identity-affirming care for the queer and neurodivergent community. As a Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) with experience facilitating both residential and intensive outpatient groups, I bring lived experience and a strong foundation for supporting clients across a range of experiences. I am deeply passionate about walking alongside clients as they navigate the beautiful and complex intersections of their identities. I approach therapy through a "double rainbow" framework, centering the unique intersection of neurodivergent and queer identities. My primary goal is to dismantle normative binaries and create a calm, stigma-free space where you can express your authentic self. I believe therapy is a collaborative process: you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you uncover your inherent resilience, rewrite the narratives that no longer serve you, and build a life that feels empowering and true to who you are. I offer intersectional, identity-affirming therapy rooted in lived experience and specialized addiction training. Drawing on a "double rainbow" framework, I help queer and neurodivergent clients dismantle unhelpful narratives, process trauma, and build lives that feel true to who they are. Before stepping into counseling, I spent 25 years as a Director of Software Engineering and IT leader, and honestly, I'm still a self-proclaimed nerd at heart. Much of what I loved most in that role was mentoring and coaching the people around me, and it was that affirming work with others that ultimately led me to counseling. Having navigated my own journey with late-diagnosed Autism and ADHD, I know firsthand what it's like to move through a world that wasn't designed with you in mind. That lived experience informs everything I bring into the therapy room: curiosity, empathy, and a deep commitment to helping others feel seen and affirmed. Outside of therapy, I stay connected to my love of science by working as a neuroscience researcher, and when I'm not doing that, you'll find me leaning into my creative side, adventuring and traveling with my partner and our three dogs, or enjoying time with our supportive community. If you have ever felt like you had to shrink yourself to fit in, or like the systems meant to help you left you feeling more alone, you are not broken. You are navigating a world that was not designed with you in mind. There is no pressure to have it all figured out before reaching out. Wherever you are in your journey, you deserve a space that sees and celebrates all of you.
