Introduction

Hi, I'm Stephanie — I'm glad you're here. Let's be honest — most people don't end up on a therapist's website because everything is going great. If you're here, there's probably a reason. Maybe you're feeling anxious, depressed, stuck, or just ready for something to change. Or maybe you're simply looking for a supportive, neutral space to process what's been weighing on you. My job isn't to tell you who to be or lecture you about what you should do. Together, we'll explore those patterns with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment, helping you build a deeper understanding of yourself and create meaningful, lasting change that feels aligned with who you are, what matters to you, and the life you want for yourself. You may already have insight into your patterns and know what you want for yourself, but still find yourself struggling to get there. Wherever you're starting from, you don't have to figure it all out alone. ✦ What Online Therapy With Me Looks Like ✦ Working together won't feel overly clinical or rigid. My goal is to create a space that feels warm, down-to-earth, and comfortable enough for you to be yourself — a place where you can let your guard down without overthinking or worrying about saying or doing the "right" thing throughout. Some sessions may focus on practical tools and navigating challenges in your day-to-day life, while others focus on exploring the underlying patterns and experiences that have shaped how you relate to yourself and others. We'll always move at your pace and focus on what feels most important to you. My approach draws from EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT, and parts work to help you better understand yourself, respond to life's challenges with greater flexibility, and finally feel more in control of your life. ✦ You Might Be a Good Fit If ... ✦ →You know things about yourself logically, but have a hard time truly feeling or believing them →You are hard on yourself or don't feel like enough, even when there is evidence that suggests otherwise →You tend to overthink your decisions and interactions, or second-guess yourself →You struggle to trust yourself and often look to others for reassurance, validation, or certainty →You feel responsible for other people's feelings and have a hard time setting boundaries without guilt →You keep finding yourself stuck in similar relationship patterns, even when they are hurtful →You've done a lot of self-reflection and understand your patterns, but still feel stuck and aren't sure how to create lasting change The good news? You are not broken. The patterns, behaviors, and coping strategies that bring people to therapy developed for a reason. Meaningful change doesn't come from becoming a different person—it comes from understanding yourself more fully and developing a different relationship with yourself. ✦ The Heart of My Approach ✦ My hope is that therapy helps you better understand yourself and get relief from feelings and behaviors that no longer serve you. Many of us spend so much time looking outside of ourselves for answers, certainty, or relief that we lose touch with our relationship with ourselves. While life will always include uncertainty and challenges, having a stronger relationship with yourself can help those challenges feel less overwhelming and scary. ✦ Getting Started ✦ If any of this resonates with you, I'd be happy to connect. You can get started by reaching out through the contact form at the top of the page, and I'll follow up with next steps.
