Welcome! Thank you for starting or continuing your journey to healing. I’m Stephanie, an Associate Marriage and Family Bilingual Therapist, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. I received my B.A. in Psychology from CSU Channel Islands. I received my Master's from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis on the Latinx community. I started my journey in the mental health field as a staff at a group home working with at-risk teen girls. I’ve worked at the County of Ventura as a case manager for an adult outpatient clinic and Juvenile Justice Center. I have experience working with children ages 5-12, teenagers ages 13-18, younger adults ages 18-25, and adults ages 25+ working with trauma (abuse, neglect, and domestic violence), anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, school issues and family conflict. I believe it is an honor and privilege to hold space for others. I am a trauma-focused therapist working from a liberation psychology perspective focusing on how sociopolitical structures affect oppressed communities. I work from a client-centered, strength-based approach meeting my clients where they are. I may have experience in the field but you are the expert in your life. I hope to guide and build your strengths to help you where you want to go in your healing journey.
