Introduction

Hello, I am Stephanie , Practice Owner, Licensed Psychotherapist and book nerd of all things psychology or fiction/ suspense and mystery. This is what is important to know about me so we can decide if we might work well together. I have years of clinical experience that allows me to offer a greater understanding to explore your areas of need. My therapeutic approach is to support not pathologize. You may feel there is something wrong with you. Those feelings and struggles can become complicated. I can help things feel less complicated, help you find more agency in your life, get connected to your body and offer compassion to the parts of you needing healing. I hold my professional values as safety containers for those I work with. I use a Humanistic therapeutic approach. I incorporate modalities from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Integrative Relationship Therapy and Attachment Theory. Somatic Therapy, EMDR and Brainspotting. All my work has a somatic and neuroscience base. I am an interactive therapist, I want to learn about you, hear your story, help you understand your patterns, and re-write your trauma stories. I use psycho-education throughout our sessions. I am a non-pathologizing, anti-racist, 2SLGBTQQAI+ affirming, somatic, book nerd therapist, who is motivated by a social justice lens. I have training in EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and a certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Areas of specialization include: trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction and process addictions, (i.e) gambling, shopping, hypersexual behaviors, shoplifting. I work with licensed professionals in HPSP, collaborating with HPSP for quarterly reports submission. If you are navigating the legal system: On probation, Legal issues, I communicate (as needed and signed ROI), with your legal team and your probation officer. I use she/her/elle pronouns. 2SLGBTQQAI+ affirming I advocate for special needs awareness and rights. I live this in my professional life and personal life.
