I believe that the most important factor when it comes to healing and positive outcomes for people seeking therapy is the relationship between the client and their therapist. My goal is to help you to grow and learn in this relationship, while at the same time ensuring you feel safe while doing so. All I ask is that you show up and do the work, even when the work is hard and heart-wrenching. I want you to strive to better understand yourself by being vulnerable, open, and honest, and I can promise to do the same. I would say my approach to therapy is both person-centered and trauma-informed. I like to assist clients in learning new coping and ways of perceiving the world that might challenge their current beliefs, all in an environment where warmth, empathy, and safety are in abundance. We all have traumas in our lives, whether they be "big T" trauma or "little t" trauma, and we all deserve the opportunity to overcome them and move forward with as much peace and contentment as possible. I will work with you to ensure you have a space to feel safe, where you can share, heal, and learn ways to feel better in your life.
