We all face struggles in life. Maybe relationships or sexual behavior seem "crazy” or consuming. Or maybe you struggle to connect with others, with staying present, with extreme eating habits, spending or another kind of compulsive behavior. You may struggle to manage emotions, loneliness, grief. All my clients deal with these kinds of things. It’s no coincidence they've also usually dealt with abuse, family dysfunction or trauma. Many have PTSD, CPTSD or dissociative disorder. None of this means you’re "weak," “bad" or "broken." In fact, your body and psyche are showing a certain kind of strength. They're working overtime to handle painful wounds and situations. Just reaching out to me takes courage and trust. I take that fact seriously. My job is to help you heal, and to help you see the strength and beauty within yourself. I’m an EMDR therapist licensed in NJ and CT. I use R-EMDR, an approach used to treat complex, childhood trauma. I also use mindfulness, somatics, IFS, and if you like, spirituality/12-Step. I'm a certified sex addiction therapist (CSAT). I've been trained through EMDRIA, the Relational EMDR Master Certification program, ISSTD, IITAP and the IFS Institute.
