Introduction

Life gets complicated. Sometimes we know why, but sometimes it is just a slow buildup of stress, grief, relationship strain, anxiety, or just too much all at once. Therapy can be a place to make sense of what is going on without turning every problem into a major production. We look at patterns, relationships, communication, and the things that keep coming up, then figure out what may actually help. There is room for seriousness here, but not every conversation has to feel heavy. Humor, honesty, and a little perspective go a long way. You do not need to show up with a perfectly organized explanation of what is wrong. “I’m overwhelmed,” “I’m stuck,” or “I have no idea what I’m doing anymore” are all perfectly reasonable places to start. My approach is warm, practical, direct, and collaborative. My experience includes crisis counseling, couples and relationship work, supporting children and families, grief and pregnancy loss, caregiving, anxiety, and major life transitions. I have also worked in couples retreat settings, which strengthened my interest in communication, connection, and the patterns that develop between partners. Our work may include building useful coping and communication skills, understanding what is keeping you stuck, and making realistic changes that improve daily life and relationships.
