Hello! My name is Stephanie Sheffield. I am a Graduate Student and Intern at SoulFully Connected Counseling. I am in the Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling Program at Lamar University. My clinical supervisor is Christy Birgen, M.A., LPC-S, LMFT-S. My approach to counseling is grounded in the belief that healing and growth happen through safe, meaningful connection. I work to create a warm, supportive space where clients feel comfortable showing up as they are, without pressure, judgment, or having it all figured out. I’m drawn to approaches that help people better understand themselves and their relationships, including relational and attachment-based work, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and family systems perspectives. I am also continuing to learn more about Emotionally Focused Therapy, which has deepened my appreciation for the power of emotional safety and connection in relationships. I believe that as clients gain insight into their emotions, patterns, and core beliefs, they can begin to experience greater clarity, freedom, and healing. My role is to walk alongside clients with curiosity and care as they move toward deeper connection, resilience, and lasting growth.
