I’m Stephen Russell, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker who provides therapy for adolescents, adults, and couples. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, compassionate, and individualized approach, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, understood, and supported. I was drawn to this work through a deep interest in people’s stories, relationships, and the ways past experiences can continue to shape the present. Over time, I developed a strong focus on helping clients better understand themselves, make sense of painful or overwhelming experiences, and move toward lives that feel more stable, connected, and authentic. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, attachment and relationship concerns, identity development, and life transitions. I also have experience working with men, adolescents, and individuals with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual/developmental differences. My approach often integrates insight, practical coping tools, emotional processing, and deeper work around patterns that may be keeping clients stuck. My goal is not just to help clients manage symptoms, but to support meaningful change—whether that means improving relationships, feeling more grounded, building self-understanding, healing from trauma, or navigating a difficult season with more clarity and confidence.
