We may struggle with decision-making, with feeling that we matter, with experiencing full and abundant lives. We get through it—each day, each professional encounter, each interaction with friends and family… yet feel there should be more.. more joy, more laughter, more intimacy, more social and emotional connection. We ask ourselves routinely: Are we enough? Are we too much? Will we be liked or loved for our true selves? Or must we perform and wear masks to fit in? We may share feelings of estrangement with many, many others, yet still feel uniquely alone, even unworthy. My approach is to meet clients on their own terrain, listen to and validate their experiences, and help them feel seen, heard and held. I believe many therapy-related problems originate early in life, when wants and needs may have been punished or ignored. Insight into past hurts and their effects on current functioning can lead to liberation and healing. I invite any who find resonance with the feelings addressed above to contact me and explore how we might work together towards better self-love and feelings of authenticity. Where alone we might suffer with anxiety and apprehension, together we can explore and grow fearlessly.
