Therapy is be a place where you are able feel understood, supported, and empowered—not judged or “fixed.” My approach is centered on helping you make sense of your experiences, build emotional resilience, and navigate relationships in ways that feel right for you. Whether you’re dealing with past trauma, struggling with mental health challenges, or looking to improve intimacy and connection, I provide a space where your experiences are honored, and your growth is supported. I tend to be active in the room; asking questions, noticing patterns, offering ideas, teaching skills when they’re useful, and sometimes challenging you when I think we’re circling something important. We’ll spend time understanding not just what you’re doing, but what makes sense about it. Where did this pattern come from? What is it trying to accomplish? Is it still working? And if it isn’t, what could work better. I use a lot of humor and references in sessions. Sometimes things are painful, sometimes they’re complicated; and sometimes the most accurate response really is, “Well, that’s a mess.” We can take what you’re going through seriously without making therapy feel cold or overly clinical. My work is informed by trauma therapy structors, DBT skills, attachment and relational dynamics, somatic experiences, and Parts Work, including IFS-informed and ego-state perspectives. You don’t need to know what any of those words mean before walking through the door. You bring the expertise on your life. I bring my training, perspective, curiosity, and willingness to respectfully call attention to something when I think it’s important based on what you share with me. Then we figure it out together. If you’re looking for therapist that makes space for nuance, complexity, and long term growth, I’d enjoy connecting with you.
