Introduction

IRefuge Ministries Development Resource Center was established to be a place of safety, restoration, and growth for individuals and families navigating some of life’s most difficult challenges. Since 2010, the Resource Center has served as a trusted community anchor, specializing in behavioral health support, domestic violence advocacy, educational support and coaching, and addiction recovery services. Our work is rooted in compassion, lived experience, and a commitment to long-term transformation. What distinguishes Refuge Ministries is not only the breadth of services offered, but the depth of understanding behind them. The foundation of the Resource Center is shaped by firsthand experience with addiction beginning in early childhood and the painful absence of adequate support systems during those formative years. This lived reality informs every aspect of our approach, ensuring that services are trauma-informed, empathetic, and practical. We recognize that healing is rarely linear and that sustainable change requires both professional guidance and genuine human connection. In behavioral health, we focus on emotional wellness, resilience building, and coping strategies that empower individuals to regain stability and purpose. Through domestic violence advocacy, we provide education, support, and resources designed to promote safety, dignity, and self-determination for survivors. Our educational support and coaching programs equip clients with tools for personal development, life skills, and academic or vocational success. Additionally, our addiction support services address substance use challenges with an emphasis on accountability, recovery pathways, and hope. Refuge Ministries Development Resource Center exists to ensure that no one has to face trauma, addiction, or life transitions alone. Our mission is to transform lived pain into purposeful support, offering refuge, guidance, and opportunity for healing and growth within the communities we serve.
