Summer Woods is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist & Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with over five years of experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan—from toddlers to elders. She earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and has provided services in settings such as psychiatric lockdown facilities, homeless outreach, FSP/TAY programs, wraparound services, sex offender treatment, and private practice. Summer uses an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing from CBT, DBT, trauma-focused interventions, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, family systems, narrative therapy, and group and couples counseling. She is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with clarity and purpose. Summer is especially skilled at connecting authentically with clients, guided by deep empathy, cultural humility, and lived self-awareness.
