Susan has been employed by both community mental health and private sectors. She has experience working with adults, as well as children and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as Assertive Community Treatment. She has experience in treating anxiety, depression, co-occurring substance use, trauma, schizophrenia, personality disorder, bi-polar disorder, self-esteem, anger management, relationship difficulties, interpersonal communication challenges, behavior challenges in children, grief and loss, and working with couples. Susan’s approach to treatment is person-centered, and she works to identify barriers to treatment for lasting and meaningful change. Susan can help you identify core beliefs and cognitive distortions that create difficulties in life while utilizing a non-judgmental, strengths-based approach. She has extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and EMDR. Susan is currently available for in person and virtual appointments.
