Susan earned a B.A. from Lycoming College, an M.Ed. from Penn State University, and an Ed.D. from Wilkes University. After earning her doctorate in education and teaching in K-12 schools and at the university level for 15 years, Susan decided to pursue an M.S. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology and to work towards licensure. She graduated with an M.S. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College and has done additional training in trauma-focused CBT counseling, addictions, and working with LGBTQ couples. Susan is the Director of the Clinical and Counseling Psychology Master's Program for Chestnut Hill College on the DeSales University campus and is a Professor in the Graduate Psychology Department. Susan combines her background and experience in education, her background and experience in counseling psychology, and her training in yoga, mindfulness, and body-based therapies in serving her clients. In addition to being a licensed professional counselor, she is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), a ChildLight Children's Yoga Teacher, and a certified Aerial Yoga Teacher. Susan is an EMDR-trained therapist. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, addictive behaviors, relationship issues, women's issues, and grief. Susan is a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS.) Susan focuses on helping clients to grow in self-awareness and helping them to heal, grow, and find balance in their lives. She sees children, adolescents, and adults and also works with couples in the Lehighton office.
