Maybe you have grown up hearing, and eventually believing, that you are too much. As a result, you settle into an exhaustive pattern of monitoring your own behavior, masking reactions that are “over the top” or “attention seeking” or “weird” in order to function the way that the people around you seem to expect. This mask can make it difficult to genuinely connect with those around you, as you shape it to fit the expectations of others to avoid criticism. When you have lived with the mask all your life, figuring out which parts are genuinely you and which are too heavy to keep holding can seem impossible. Together, we can navigate the intricacies of finding healing and wholeness in a world that has said you are too much. At your own pace, I can help you examine not just the mask that you have learned to present to the world, but what parts of your story have taught you that mask is the only way to stay safe, and the impact that belief has on all areas of your life. No matter how you show up in the room, I will work to help you process painful experiences in a space that is safe and welcoming. Whether you are a couple, teen, or adult with trauma, ADHD, or autism we will work together to help you learn how to lower the mask so that you can connect genuinely with others and live a whole and fulfilled life. It is my privilege to walk with you as you navigate the often overwhelming journey to healing. Please reach out if you feel that I might be a good fit for you.
