Susan Ramsey-French. LCSW

Susan Ramsey-French is the owner at Empowered Bridges Counseling, LLC. Susan is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida. She has been working in the field for the past eight years. Susan received her Master in Social Work from University of Southern California (USC). Since graduating in 2017 she has worked in capacities of a supervisor, crisis counselor and clinician working with teens and families involved in crisis and the criminal justice system. Susan received training through EMDR connect during the summer of 2023 and quickly began utilizing the EMDR modality in her practice. Since then she has studied EMDR much deeper, applying advanced techniques to recent events and group protocols. This can work for families as well as individuals. As an EMDR trained therapist, she recognized the powerful impact her client's could see in a fairly short amount of time. Susan has seen clients attain significant gains and has observed physical and emotional improvements in functioning and coping as well as decreased symptoms and reactions to trauma in just a few sessions at times. Susan is passionate about working with trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, attachment issues, childhood trauma, anxiety and depression. Susan uses client centered strategies and brings mindfulness in her practice to help center and reenergize you as you heal your past looking towards the future. Susan also uses solution-focused and CBT strategies to support her EMDR practice. Susan is passionate about helping you bridge your past and present to assist you in building an empowered future.
