I am a trauma-focused therapist, but I also work with many individuals who are experiencing anxiety and depression. I am EMDR trained and use this modality with many clients to desensitize and reprocess traumatic memories. I am also a certified trauma-informed mindfulness specialist, and I incorporate aspects of mindfulness into my work with clients. These techniques help clients relax and increase their tolerance for experiencing uncomfortable emotions. I am also trained in experiential therapy. Experiencing emotions and bodily sensations can foster deep healing. I also regularly use CBT, which helps clients understand how their thoughts and thought processes affect their emotions and behaviors. Recognizing thought and behavior patterns is a step toward healing.
