Introduction

I firmly believe in our capacity to heal and grow and I understand that therapy is one of many healing modalities. I support individuals’ healing journey through culturally responsive therapy that allows people to reclaim their power and reconnect with themselves and ancestral wisdom (if desired). My clinical approach is holistic in nature; I strive to incorporate mind, body, spirit and of course, Corazon (heart). I utilize a mujerista- liberation-decolonial framework and work from a trauma informed perspective which allows us to unpack ancestral, societal & personal trauma embedded in our family lineage & the stories we tell ourselves. We explore how pain and trauma manifest in relationships, bodies & behaviors. We engage with the mind, body and spirit informed by Indigenous healing and center your cultural identities. Prioritizing you is a radical act of love for yourself, your family & community. We are interconnected therefore your healing will eventually have a cascade effect of wellness in your circles. My areas of specialty are working with BIPOC with an emphasis on Latinx communities, intersections of identity (e.g., racial, gender, LGBT, ability status), trauma, racial trauma, maternal mental health and professional identity/career related matters. Another love of mine is decolonizing our mental health practices through healing and education. I am passionate about supporting other mental heath providers and mental heath students in training though therapy and through mentoring, supervision and training. I have been intimately involved in training and supervision with doctoral and masters level students throughout my career. (19 years). I am currently curating workshops and group experiences to support more opportunities for healing in community. I would be honored to accompany you in this journey of exploration & healing & look forward to connecting with you. I provide services in English & Spanish.
