Hi, I'm Susanne, a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes that healing happens when we care for the whole person—not just the symptoms. I work with teens and adults, individual clients and couples, navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, addiction, life transitions, and the pressure to "hold it all together." My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical, helping clients better understand themselves while building the tools and confidence to create lasting change. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and lifestyle strategies that support both emotional and physical well-being. I earned my M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William & Mary and also hold master's and bachelor's degrees from American University and Rutgers University. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, athletes, first responders, military and law enforcement personnel, and high-achieving individuals who may look successful on the outside while struggling internally. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something to change, my goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood, challenged, and empowered to move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. I also offer therapy in Spanish.
