Hi, I’m Sydney! I am pursuing my MSW at New York University’s Silver School of Social Work after earning my Bachelor’s in Psychological Sciences from UConn in 2025. Interests include mental health, behavioral health, disability, accessibility, advocacy, and person-centered care. At Aspire To Wellness Behavioral Health, I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I believe therapy should be collaborative and strengths-based, honoring each person’s experiences, identities, needs, and goals. My experience includes supporting students as an Academic Coach at the University of Connecticut with academic barriers, organization, time management, and study skills. I also served as Head of Social Media for Chronic Warrior Coaching Collective, facilitating virtual support groups for individuals living with chronic illnesses and disabilities. My clinical experience includes working with adults in outpatient substance use treatment, where I co-facilitated groups, conducted biopsychosocial assessments, and utilized Motivational Interviewing, CBT-informed coping skills, and harm reduction principles. I am passionate about working with individuals with disabilities, informed by my lived experience as a visually impaired person. I strive to provide compassionate and nonjudgmental support while helping clients recognize their strengths, build confidence, advocate for their needs, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
