Hi I am Sylvia Bella. I know starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially for teens and young adults who may not be used to talking openly about what they’re feeling. My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out right away. I’m a supportive and down-to-earth therapist who focuses on helping clients better understand their emotions, manage stress and anxiety, improve confidence, and develop healthier ways of coping. I work closely with teens, young adults, and parents to help strengthen communication, build emotional awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and practical, not cold or overly clinical. I want clients to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and better equipped to handle the challenges they’re facing. My approach to therapy is supportive, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I work with teens and young adults to better understand their emotions, improve confidence, and develop healthier ways to manage anxiety, stress, anger, and difficult life situations. I believe therapy should feel practical and approachable, not overly clinical or intimidating. I focus on helping clients build tools they can actually use in their everyday lives while creating a space where they feel comfortable being honest and understood. I use evidence-based approaches including CBT, mindfulness, art-based therapy, and EMDR, tailoring therapy to each client’s individual needs and personality. In the first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and what’s been going on in your life. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say right away. We’ll start wherever feels most comfortable for you. We’ll talk about the challenges you’ve been facing, what you’d like support with, and what you hope might feel different moving forward. I may ask questions to better understand your experiences, relationships, stressors, and emotional patterns, but there’s never pressure to share more than you’re ready for. My approach during the first session is relaxed, supportive, and collaborative. I want clients to leave feeling more at ease, with a clearer sense of what therapy may look like and whether working together feels like a good fit.
