Hello, my name is Sylvia Sequina-Hitchcock! I recently completed my Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master's degree and Expressive Arts Therapy Certificate at Appalachian State University in May 2025. I became passionate about mental health advocacy after receiving counseling services as a teen which was life changing for me. I have always used the arts as an outlet for expression which led me to seeking ways to use the arts as a tool for healing my community. I specialize in helping children, teens, and adults with a variety of mental health concerns including by not limited to Anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, Bipolar disorder, PTSD, and Attachment issues. I offer a combination of person-centered therapy, feminist therapy, trauma-informed therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems therapy, expressive arts therapy, nature-based therapy, ecotherapy, and animal assisted therapy to help clients build coping skills, express themselves, find meaning, and achieve their goals. I accept insurance coverage from Aetna, Ambetter, Vaya Health, Healthy Blue, Partners Health Management, and United Healthcare Medicaid and offer a sliding scale fee for private pay for clients and families in financial need.
